We are a Lansa shop and tried using triggers a few years ago. We found that
high volume applications could run 10-20 times longer when using triggers. This
situation may have improved since then and it's hard for me to know if this was
due to Lansa's implementation or the AS400's implementation of triggers. In any
case, there will be more overhead and if you've got screens or low volume apps,
there shouldn't be a performance problem.

Subject: Triggers

Does anyone have any gotcha's on using triggers? We have a product being
installed and they are using data ques and triggers. We are not really
educated in triggers.
