  • Subject: Accessing AS/400 data from a Unix application then passing status back to unix

Do you know if there is currently a way to access AS/400 data from an
application on Unix.

We want to edit the G/L account number that the person keys in from an
online screen within a Unix application. Were hoping to call out from the
unix application and check the account on AS/400 then send a status back to
the unix application. Is this possible?

1. If it is not possible with our current AS/400 setup then what do we
have to do to make it possible?
