Well, if you don't want more opcodes, get rid of DO; FOR is a lot more
flexible.

I like the fact that I can replace

    eval x=1
    dow  x <= %elem(array)
* do something to array element x
    eval x=x+1
    enddo

with

    for x=1 to %elem(array)
* do something to array element x
    endfor
