On behalf of the Australians on this list, I have to
say I'm quite surprised to see so many suggestions for
emu, platypus etc. (Not to mention Bunyip, which is a
fictional creature!). You must have all spent some
time at zoos when you were kids. What about an
Australian animal with a slightly different work
ethic? The Koala. They spend their entire lives
sitting in trees completely smashed on the oil from
eucalyptus leaves. I'd say that's an animal with a
very relaxed and confident attitude to life.
