Paolo, No offence, but it doesn't even seem like you know what usenet is. It's not usenet.com, it's where the newsgroups "live". for example, comp.sys.ibm.as400.misc is a newsgroup. (my fav). I wasn't in college that long ago, either. i'm only 29. I was in college when the internet was an early teen. There were hackers and porn dealers even before then on BBSes. But they weren't as malicious. Probably because hacking a BBS is no fun. Hacking Yahoo's string of NT servers is. :) My point was, getting 1000 hackers together is no sweat. Ever heard of "Burning Man"? ;) Brad > -----Original Message----- > From: PAOLO YABUT [mailto:dp@slomins.com] > Sent: Friday, February 11, 2000 3:27 PM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: Denial of Service, Good for AS/400? > > > Brad.....I dont think i have visited usenet.com........i dont have > to....compare to back when you were in college maybe its "outrageous" > but you are not in college anymore.....oh and yes it is fun > to know that > almost anything is possible.....but still intimidating . > > Paolo > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Stone, Brad V (TC)" <bvstone@taylorcorp.com> > To: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> > Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2000 5:37 PM > Subject: RE: Denial of Service, Good for AS/400? > > > > ...its > > > intimidating to > > > think that you have 1000+ hackers doing this from all > over the world > > > conducting this attacks simultaneously..... > > > > > --snip-- > > > > You haven't visited usenet or IRC lately have you...
