*SNIP I was wondering if this could happen to an AS/400 web server? *ENDSNIP The AS/400 is as vulnerable to denial of service and other types of attacks as any other web server. What cannot possibly be done is to write an OS/400 object that is a virus. The AS/400 can be a virus carrier on the IFS so all proper precautions need to be taken for that data. A good strategy for defeating these attacks is definitely needed in any Web plan for the AS/400. I am toying with using a LINUX firewall for that type of protection. Is anyone else using the LINUX firewall in conjunction with an AS/400 installation?
