  • Subject: IC/400 vs. WebSphere

I am just starting out on the 400 Web thing and I was hoping someone could
expound on the differences between the IC/400 product and WebSphere. Is
there any point to me learning the intracacies of IC/400 or should I breeze
through it and concentrate on WebSphere? The self-study courses are several
releases behind.

Background Note: I have been doing midrange development for 15 years. I
currently have sufficient knowledge of IIS to keep an intranet up most of
the time and I use Frontpage for web development. I am trying to pick up
Java "on the side" and run a 170 with V4R4.

Thanks,
Karen
