It's Friday and I can't restrain myself. A couple of years ago an operator was getting a screen shot of the PWRDNSYS prompt screen for documentation and pressed ENTER at 10AM on a weekday. We now have a command in a library higher on the library list called "PWRDNSYS" that wraps the original command in a CL that asks for confirmation of system shut down. He actually was a pretty conscientious guy. It was an honest mistake. The good part was no one was punished and we got things going again within an hour. -----Original Message----- From: Chris Bipes [mailto:rpg@cross-check.com] Sent: Friday, February 04, 2000 7:49 AM To: 'MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com' Subject: RE: Brain freeze on command ***WARNING*** the S in select command is too close to the D. SLTCMD/DLTCMD. I deleted all the CRT commands once when looking for the command to create an Ethernet line. USE CRT* and the system will find all the create commands. Works for all prefixes. I will never use SLTCMD again. Christopher K.
