Bug in Editor

In this sequence of Code If I remove 1 ) in the subst the line
will highlight as expected.

However if I remove both of the ) it will not highlight

If I remove the 2nd ( and the )'s it will not highlight

I am on V4R2M0

Is this a bug or am I missing something.
