: Answer: : There is a jar file in the IFS that has the IBM XML parser called : XML4J. Just to clear this point up, for those who don't yet know what a jar file is, the .jar file is for the Java version of the XML DOM parser : As far as I know that's it. Out on the alphaworks site there is : source for a C++ XML parser but I haven't tried to compile it on the AS/400. Again, you have to request the beta OS/400 C++ DOM parser direct from IBM : As far as writing XML there is nothing to it. Just open a stream file and : write some homegrown XML to it. Its up to the consumer to parse it and do : something. But don't trivialize this too much - data coming back from the consumer will need to be parsed by you, so you'll also have to write you own 'homegrown' XML parser, if you choose not to use a Java or C++ DOM parser. --phil +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
