I have a question for you folks. I am investigating Security packages for
our AS400. I have installed a demo of Powerlock, and since it was messing
up the sign on for every user on our system, and the fix I was told was to
call IBM for a PTF then install CA EXPRESS on every PC, I asked for
assistance on removing the product. I have over 400 PC"s attached to the
400, and Express isn't even an option at this point. I am currently
working with Penta Safe for their package, PSAudit, PSSecure, etc. For a
school district, the price on this is really high, even though the product
is really user friendly. If there are any other packages out there,
please steer in the right direction. I am looking for the ablility to
lock out people from doing FTP, Remote Command, as well as creating groups
that are only allowed to work in certain Libraries. Please let me know,
because I do need to make a decision on PentaSafe within the next week, as
to whether I keep it or not.
Thanks.
