Exactly. The guys who are going to make the most money in ecommerce are
not the retailers,
but the companies selling services to the retailers

Why do they need to make a profit?

Amazon.com is a shell company that has an enormous cash flow since they
often receive payment for the goods they sell long before they
have to pay
for them (sometimes 45-60 days later).

Meanwhile, many, many businesses sell services to Amazon.com
for which they
get paid (advertising, shipping, telephone, internet, computers, people,
etc.). If these folks are making money from the amazon.com
shell who cares
if Amazon.com makes money. Is this the ulitmate ponzi pyramid or what?
And people (they probably vote too) actually invest in this
darling of the
internet company.
