We have IBM's UPS, I can not remember the model, plugged into our BEST UPS.
It works.  The 400, a 170, monitors the BEST UPS and does its shut down
based on the Best.  We only use IBM's as a fail save for CPM incase the BEST
fails due to a long outage.  This is all installed in an unmanned remote D/R
site.

We have a 170-2292 attached to a 9910-140 battery pack which is plugged
into the wall. This battery pack will provide only about 15-20 minutes
of uptime if the power fails. Additionally, I have  a 5.3kva Best
battery pack that used to power our long gone F35. I'm being told (by
Best) that I should not plug the 9910-140 into this unit. I'm interested
in hearing what  (if anything) others are doing to provide maybe 2 or 3
hours worth of uptime during a power outage.
