Bob, >does anyone know if it's still >possible to purchase an RPG compiler for this machine? And if so, approx. >how much they would cost? The model 310 is in the P30 software tier (with either the 2043 or 2044 processor), so the compiler is rather spendy. Last I knew the P30 price for the RPG compiler was $14,400 but I haven't updated the price files in my configurator for awhile. That should be ballpark though. I'm sure IBM would still be happy to take your money now, even though support for it will officially end in a few months. Beyond May 31, I'm not sure what happens. Doug PS - For $14K, I'd think real hard first about getting a RISC box instead and doing your compiles on it with a target release of V3R2 then restoring them to the 310. I wouldn't want to spend $14K on a 310 these days just to get a compiler. And if you also need ADTS, that is another $15,100 last I knew... +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
