2. When using the SBMFAX command, does it really submit
(as the name implies)? I ask because I had two lines connected, a
process took 20 hours. I connected 6 more lines (for a total of 8),
the same process still took 20 hours. I was expecting 5 or 6.
The controllers (Faxd01-faxd04) were being used, ie., the job was rotating
through the controllers.
The job creates a spool file for each customer, using a CL driver to
read through the customer file, call the program, sbmfax, and loop back
for another read.
The spool files date/times were dispersed evenly through the run, as
though the CL had waited for the submissioin before looping back and reading
another customer. This job runs in about 20 minutes without the sbmfax.
I expected the job to run to competion in 20 minutes, then take 4-6 hours
to fax out the spoolfiles, simultaneously sending over all 8 lines.
What am I doing wrong or misunderstanding??
Should I be doing SBMJOB(SBMFAX(..)) to a fax400-dedicated jobq??
seems redundant.
Thanks for your help.
