Interesting. We just received our V4R4 upgrade stuff and started planning our upgrade to it from V4R2. PASE doesn't show up as a V4R2 option, but it does show for V4R4. BUT, it's not on the CD's we received! Is it currently chargeable, or does it require an additional feature code on the order, or what? Anyone know? Dave Shaw -----Original Message----- From: Roger Pence [mailto:rp@rogerpence.com] LS-- > But Roger, where can I find more details on PASE There aren't any details available on PASE right now. As best I know now (and the technical stuff I know comes first-hand from those that know, not other rumor mill pages!): PASE gets announced next Monday at Partner World and will _not_ require recomplilation of AIX binaries. Although it's been reported that that isn't correct, it is. It is a Unix runtime. It's on the AS/400 today (check install licensed programs) and was slipped in several releases ago for SmallTalk/400. At least one other AS/400 ISV figured out to put PASE to work. PASE was never documented, nor was it ever referred to out loud as a Unix runtime. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
