  • Subject: FTP To novel... anyone had problems?

One of our programmers is having a tough time FTPing to a Novel 4.11(?)
server. It is VERY slow.. either that or it hangs for a while after it is
done, we're not sure why it seems to take a long time.

We've tested every possible combination of FTP clients, servers, getting,
putting, etc... but the only combination that seems to have a problem is
putting files from this one AS/400 (on V4R4) to this novel server. It is
slow, or times out and doesn't finish.

Combos we've tried: (AS400A is the box mentioned above, NovelA is the novel
server mentioned above)

AS400A to NovelA (slow)
AS400A to PC (fast)
AS400A to AS400B (fast)
NovelA to AS400A (fast)
NovelA to PC (fast)
NovelA to AS400B (fast)
etc... etc...

All other possible combos have no problem. I search for PTFs, but didn't
find anything. Any ideas?

Brad
