Luc LaFontan <luc.lafontan@bbc.co.uk> on 01/14/2000 12:13:15 PM The six errors are all very similar and have to do with a specific job - 043617/QPGMR/QSERVER The actual message reads: -MESSAGE "Cannot allocate object for file (see list of the six files below) in QUSRSYS -CAUSE " The save operation was not performed for member (file name) in library QUSRSYS type *FILE, because it is allocated by job 043617/QPGMR/QSERVER. Recovery...Try the request again when the object is avalable. Can anyone offer some insight before calling IBM pay support Luc: Yes to backup the files you need to end the "PC" "TCP" "Servers", probably not an option. We decided on another way, copy file all PF in Qusrsys to another library, right before the backup. Monitor for the Messages and add the other library to your save. You do need these files in case of problems. However a Save *NONSYS during the weekend will get them. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
