I agree on Delphi/400 - All of our heavy duty processing is done in
RPG/CL on the back end.

All of the user interface is windows.  You can convert over module by
module to Delphi and the only code  that needs to be re-written is the
user interface.  You can run over APPC (vi nsrouter etc.) or straight
tcp/ip.  One other benefit is that the AS400 processing counts towards
batch and not interactive.  This means you can use a much cheaper server
model.  

Another nice thing is that it really confuses the "AS400 - oh that green
screen stuff" crowd.
