Well, Hans. If you want it so bad, why don't you help out. The hardest is done. All the other little things aren't so bad. Perl has been around a long time, runs on different platforms, and works with different DBs. The CGI stuff for the AS/400 hasn't. You're comparing Apples to Kiwi fruit. Also, why don't you show me how "easy" it is in Perl to get data from an AS/400 Db. Or, get the boys at the RPG developement lab to make some %bifs for this stuff. You're not depressing me, but the AS/400 world has to learn you may have to do some of the work yourself (the wrappers I have are a darn good start). Someone had to write those Perl modules. We're not up against anyone on a different architecture and db model. And AS/400 is NOT a PC, and thank God for that. Take care, Brad > Brad, I don't want to depress you, but have a look at the web > programming section of CPAN at: > http://www.cpan.org/modules/00modlist.long.html#15)WorldWideWeb > > I hate to say it, but you've got a long ways to go to catch up to > what's currently available for Perl.
