>Is anyone here using the IBM Job Scheduler - not the free one, but the pay >extra, higher function one? Is there any documentation on how to use it other >than the manual that came out with V3R6? Thanks! Dave - I've installed the Advanced Job Scheduler on my systems. It is a major enhancement to the built in OS/400 Job Scheduler (WRKJOBSCDE). The interface to it is very similar to the BRMS product too. Both were originally written by the same people before IBM took over the support and future development of the products. I looked at several job schedulers for our system. The IBM product provided a rich feature set at a very reasonable price. One other thing. the IBM Advanced Job Scheduler is the only one with an Ops Navigator interface. The current Ops Navigator interface is very basic right now, but I know that IBM is putting a lot of effort into implementing all the Advanced Job Scheduler features in a future release. there are a lot of good job schedulers for the AS/400 available. If you are thinking of getting a job scheduler for your system make sure you ask your IBM rep for a demo of the Advanced Job Scheduler. I think you will be surprised at how feature rich it is....
