If you commented out the call, you must be starting the writers yourself, 
and that's what is causing the MSGW condition.  This program was introduced 
in V3R6, being specifically designed to avoid this condition.  The CL 
source is retrievable, although if memory serves me correctly, it is not 
for the faint of heart.
