We would like to set up a Pop3 server on our AS/400 running V4R3 to handle some
internal mail and calendaring using MS Outlook. Basically, we want to use
Outlook to do some groupware calendaring, but it requires a mail server to
"interface" each persons calendars. We do not want to integrate our external
email (Internet), which is handled by our ISP. So, I thought I would configure
the POP3 server on the AS/400. But I went through green screens and Ops Nav,
and
it seems like there has to be more to it than 1 page of questions.

Perhaps it is not any more difficult, and it is configured. On the MS
Outlook (or for that matter any email client) how do you refer to the AS/400
Pop3? Do you just give the AS/400 name? Is there any good documentation (Yes,
Yes, I know the jokes on documentation) for configuring this?

How does MSF play, as well as SMTP? It interesting we always here how the
AS/400 can do this and that, but its always hard to find a place that shows you,
in a step by step approach to doing this. I tried the AS/400 home page, but to
no
avail, it is created by Marketing people. Any help is appreciated.
