Hello all Our Network Administrator is having a problem with the AS400 at V4R4 This is the description of the problem: I have a IP routing problem, our AS/400 is a domino server, and has a single multi-homed ethernet adapter. I have two groups of IP addresses, externally accessible , 205.156.***.*** and my internals (not externally accessible) which are 207.209.115.*** The default route for this box is to the external interface (it's a POP3 and an SMTP mail server) on the internet router. which is one of the externally accessible addresses. We have another domino server in germany that needs to connect to the as/400 here, it's non externally accessible address is 207.209.117.*** We have a router connecting us to germany, it's address in in our internal range, and it has a static route that sends all packets not in the 207.209.117.*** range, back to the internet router. now, I defined a route on the as/400 pointing all packets going to the 207.209.117.*** net to the germany router, using the correct source interface (in the internal range)on the as400 , the route seems to take, but I still cannot ping the remote server. I set up an NT box with the default gateway pointing to the germany router, and I have no problem contacting the remote host either with notes on a ping or tracert. any suggestions?
