Todd, There have been announcemnents concerning the withdrawal from marketing for 5763-BR1 (BRMS V3R2) effective Feb 25, 2000. This is consistent with the withdrawal from marketing for V3R2 OS/400 and many other V3R2 products (see letter 998-017 dated Feb 10 1999). Could this be what the sales representative was refering to? Bruce > >Yesterday I was told by an IBM Sales Representative that BRMS will not >be market supported by IBM beginning March, 2000. She stated that >Tivoli is going to be IBM's strategic direction. She told me that the >announcement was made at the end of last quarter > >I tried to find the announcement letter on the IBM web page, but the >only thing I found were statements from IBM that BRMS is the strategic >direction. > >Has anyone else heard that BRMS was being withdrawn? If so, please >provide a URL link or reference number. This doesn't seem to make sense, >but I wouldn't necessarily accuse IBM of always making sense. > >Thanks for the help, > >Todd Kidwell (Netstar) >AS/400 System Administrator > +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
