I used to order PTF's all the time on a machine that was a lower OS level than the intended recepient. Since the PTF will come down as a savf for the target release, you will get that message about cannot be restored, displayed, or listed. It should be okay when the time comes. Have you thought about ordering the following packages for V4R4? There are a few ptfs that I need to download and apply to v4r4 after I get the system installed and the current cum applied. I was wanting to be able to download the ptf's to the AS/400 before the upgrade, but I am having a problem (I think). When I download the v4r4 ptfs to my currently installed v4r3 AS/400 I get this error... PTF 5769SS1-SFXXXXX V4R4M0 received and stored in library QGPL. File cannot be restored, displayed, or listed. Error occurred while attempting to access save file QSFXXXXX in library QGPL. File cannot be restored, displayed, or listed. File or member not processed. File for PTF SFXXXXX cannot be stored. I checked QGPL and the file is there, but will I be able to install it once I upgrade to v4r4? Thanks in advance...
