I might get a lot of grief on this one, but, we almost always run the RCLDLO, 
RGZDLO and RCLSTG prior to doing our option 21 on our downtime weekends.  Got 
tired of backups blowing up due to damaged objects.  Haven't been burned yet.  
Been since (89?) and had up to 19 AS/400's.

I can see that you wouldn't want to do this in a SWA environment.

Stuart,

I have seen the MCH3601 error in conjunction with a SAVSYS...Had a damaged
LAN DEVD in QSYS and it issued the message in conjunction with the save of
configuration data.  If you go to the JOBLOG, and determine what library it
was backing up, are there any damaged objects in that library?
