I am having a problem. I have 2 AS400s a model 170 and a model 720, both are at V4R4. The 170 is a web server, the application data base is on the 720. The 720 creates spool files in HTML format and stores them in a directory called DailyReports in the IFS. The 170 has an entry in the QFileSvr.400 directory that points to 720 name. On the 170 signed on as myself I can drill down using a DSPLNK command and see the IFS directory that is resident on the 720. I also have a command called DIR and can run that and it shows the contents of the DailyReports directory from the 720 on the 170. All is well until this........ The 170 is running net.data macros. One macro is to show the user a list of files on the 720 in the DailyReports directory and allow them to chose one to review. The macro calls the DIR command and writes then directory data to a file, then the macro reads the file and builds the dynamic web page. It does not work.... it appears that the web server runs the DIR command/program with the user profile QTMHHTP1. In order to be able to display a remote IFS directory the user profile used must exist on both systems and be able to sign on. I can not change the user profile QTMHHTP1 to allow it to signon. This worked perfectly when the 170 was at V4R2 and the 720 was a 510 running V3R7. Anyone have any ideas?
