Carl:

My first visit to Panama was abruptly cancelled, so I can only comment on the
quality of the airport (neat and orderly) and rain (very heavy). As you
already know, the celebration of the change of ownership will come at the end
of a month of Feliz Navidad celebrations on top of "end of the millennium"
celebrations. It should be a blow out party, even by Central American
standards.

The company that I am consulting to has a proposal for the shipping industry
for Y2K risk management. They have had the proposal since March, and are now
just starting to think about making a decision on it. Do you understand
"manana?"

:-)
