I wonder if Norton will come up with a fix for it. Hmmm...

But seriously, should there be concern for AS/400 viruses?

Subject: AS/400 gets infected by WINDOWS NT VIRUS!!!

Ok folks, this is one for the history books ...

I just had an AS/400 get infected by the WINDOWS NT VIRUS! And I'm not
talking about the INS/IPCS/FISIOP!

How you ask...

I was playing around with the /NTC file system and was able to connect it to
one of our NT Servers... but I was UNABLE to disconnect it.

No mater what I did, I could not figure out a way to get it disconnected ...
so I figured the NT server had effected the AS/400's behavior and did what
you would normally do to fix a NT system. I rebooted it.

Lo-and-behold ... after an IPL, the AS/400 was back to normal.

btw: The VIRUS in question was "WINDOWS NT". Quite insidious, IMHO.
