Art,

Two lines cut from your web site PPP setup instructions.  What am I not understanding???

We are using the IBM 7855 Modem.

We used IBM 7852-400

My problem is, that I've got a 7855, but I ordered my 170 without the 7852-400, thinking "I've got an ECS modem already".
My ECS port is on a 2745 PCI adapter card...I really don't want to, but I'm placing an order for a 7852 and a 2721 card tomorrow.  My original question was "can I use the 2745 card for a PPP connection".  According to IBM, NO, but all this talk about "dialing into an ECS port" and I started not being so sure.

I do appreciate the assistance.
