What is the trick to this that I am > missing, presuming it is possible ? Your not going to be able to have a message appear on the Sign on screen like the system does with "incorrect password entered", but what you can do is what we do, display a format with the message you want via SNDRCVF with another hardcoded message at the bottom teeling the user to press enter then the next command to run in the Cl being the SIGNOFF command when the user presses enter they will be signed off. > > On other question - should I be doing a TFRCTL at the end of the routing > program to remove it from the invocation stack, or will this take place > automatically when the job enters the new subsystem ? Yes your job will be transferred to to the correct subsystem when you run the TFRJOB command, and you can validate this by running the WRKACTJOB command.
