Joe for lots of information on eBusiness and the 400 take a look at http://www.ignite400.org, it features a forum and mailing list on those topics you mention in your mailing including Net.Commerce. We have also just put on line a showcase area where you can see AS/400 sites that are out there right now in the ebusiness area. Current environment: We have a model 510 that runs legacy applications is at V4R3 and has domino. We also have a model 170 at V4R3 that runs domino and Lotus Notes mail. We are currently migrating OV on the 510 to the 170 Notes mail. We have a T1 that is used for email & internet access Our current website if brochureware & is out-sourced Firewall is installed and active (not AS/400 firewall) New environment: We are upgrading the 510 to a 720 early in 2000 Both systems will be upgraded to V4R4 Website will be brought in-house and will consist of: 1. e-commerce 2. intranet 3. extranet Questions: Can the 170 best be utilized to be our webserver? If so, where should my mail server reside? If the 170 is our webserver, does it exist outside of the firewall? What should exist inside the firewall & what should be outside the firewall? What suggestions do you have on how this can be setup? I am planning on purchasing net.commerce or some other product that will provide similar functions, what other software will be required? Thank you in advance for your insights.... +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
