David, IMHO, as a consultant, I'm hard pressed to find value in such a list. Now I could be very wrong, but I imagine the first round of postings would be a series of chest pounding to gain position by bragging rights. After that, no one would divulge their perceived competitive edge. Color me cynical. For general purpose midrange discussion or "I have equipment x that won't talk to my AS/400" the midrange-l list is a great forum. I've learned a lot and been allowed to vent/rant at free will while saving a bundle on therapy <g> And, BTW, thanks for killing my posts when I've gone over the edge. What you have done, you have done well. Resist the urge to spread thin. P.S. For a discussion on living life on the outsider fringe, one may want to subscribe to Hank Heath's weekly diary. It's sort of like Ed TV. Without the sex. <g> > > >Folks: > > > >Since I seem to be in a New List kind of mood lately, I was wondering if > >there were any interest in a AS/400 Consultants forum? > > > >This would be for Consultants (and consulting firms) in the AS/400 market > >to discuss the business.
