When using Client Access can anyone tell me which is the best way to transfer an XCEL spreadsheet and create a database file on the AS400. What should I save the XCEL file as or can it be transferred directly as it is - if so what parameters are needed in the details section. Currently I save to ASCII text space delimited then transfer to a source file which then gets a CPYF *CVTSRC performed. However I have spreadsheets whose columns vary in width and have to adjust accordingly - I am sure there is an easier way but no manuals on site - help!
