>Hi. > >Anyone know if there is a way to either auto-enroll users in the system >directory so they can use SNDDST, or if there is any other way around this? We have our own CRTUSR command. One of the things it does is ADDDIRE (Add Directory Entry). This enables them to send and receive distributions. Every profile on our systems is enrolled in the system directory. Our descriptions are reasonably consistant because of our CRTUSR: our command has blanks to fill in for last name/first name, which makes auto-enrolling people easier. We enroll people with LASTNAME / FIRSTNAME as the 2 parts of the directory entry; no SYSTEM / USER kind of thing for -us-. (: If you want to automate the process, you can display all user profiles to an outfile, then loop through the file, adding directory entries. The tricky part is parsing name or location or some such from the description. You may have to create a work file, then hand-tune the directory entries you want. --Paul E Musselman PaulMmn@ix.netcom.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
