We use the SNDDST command, on occasion, to send email to our Notes users.
However it
handles them the same as any other email account. (At least the way we have it
set up.)
One example is a program a couple of people use to reroute all of their 400
messages into
Notes. We use a *ANY DEKKO account in the WRKDIRE. We also use it for
exception reporting
on PC file uploads - you know the invalid item number sort of stuff. But again
I recommend
moving to the Send Mail API's. No directory entry needed, more formatting
available in the message,
etc. By the way, I am not talking about pretty formatting here (I've been known
to use the
OV/400 word processor on occasion). I am talking about embedding spool files,
etc. I always
use the Send Mail API for this sort of work.

Subject: SNDDST?

Hi.
What are the system requirements for SNDDST ? Licenced Products, etc.

Does it work ok to Email a file/report to someone?

Is it worth looking into? I would like to email straight from a AS/400
program in
alot of cases. Would this be a good vehicle?

Does it talk to Notes in any easy way?

TIA

John Carr
