I have a PC at home. I use it, my daughter uses it, but my wife who has been using CAD software at work for over 15 years never touches it. On the other hand, I have a phone at home. My wife uses it, my daughter uses it, but in spite of having to use one at work, I almost never use the one at home. My wife doesn't think computers are fun; I don't like to use phones. Matter of taste. As far as great novels on the internet, there's a wealth of great literature (public domain) available in both plain text and HTML. In the past couple of years I've downloaded a couple of Shakespeare plays and an Icelandic saga; my daughter has downloaded Aristotle's Poetics. Haven't seen anything original yet, but that's going to change very soon. There are several companies trying various methods of self (vanity?)publishing on the internet. > -----Original Message----- > From: John Taylor [mailto:John.Taylor@britax-pmg.com] > Sent: Friday, November 05, 1999 2:39 AM > To: 'Midrange List' > Subject: Re: Workplace internet access > > > > > >From: Lori Hainey <lhainey@hbs-inc.com> > > >Yes, we are in the information age - and with this note I > question why > anyone in > >our field would not have a PC at home to use for internet > surfing....
