It is easy to create a class for controlling jobs at startup. CRTCLS is the command. Then add a routing entry to a subsystem, ADDRTGE. This can be done to an active subsystem. Use a unique identifier for the compare data in the ADDRTGE command. Now create a job description with the routing data matching the routing entry you just added and a job queue name that is attached to the same subsystem. The only program change is to use this job description to submit your jobs. Little to no programming changes and if you want to change any of the job parameters latter, just change the class or JOBD. Remember the basics: 1. Job definition specifies the job queue and routing data. 2. Job queues are attached to subsystems. 3. Subsystems use the routing data to assign job run parameters. Except that I submit a whole bunch of these jobs from another batch job in the wee hours of the morning. I guess the submitting batch job could change the submitted job, eh? I'll have to look up the archives to see how to retrieve the job number of the job just submitted.
