I had a meeting in Rochester last week on PTFs.

Here's what I understand:

1. Pertinent PTFs go into the various "Group PTFs" as soon as they are
ready. The purpose of the "Group PTFs" is to give you access to PTFs in a
specific area of the system as soon as they come available.

2. "PTF CUM Packages" get all of the PTFs in the "Group PTFs", but
there is a cut-off date. "PTF CUM Packages" are tested extensively, so
PTF's show up in the "Group PTFs" faster than "PTF CUM Packages".

So here's the trade off: Do you want the PTF's faster, or do you want them
tested better? My recommendation is to put on "Group PTFs" if you feel you
need them, but always leave them applied as *TEMP.

Al
