Now I'm glad I asked the question.  My original concern was in placing a
trigger to update another file and have someone come along later with ODBC
or some other product and change the master file with a directly qualified
LIBRARY/FILE call and then have a major foul-up when the trigger can't
operate.

I would be very careful about having a CLP for the trigger program if the
file has a lot of transactions on it due to performance issues with starting
up the CLP every time it is called.  If the volume of transactions is low
then it won't matter much.
