We installed V4R4 on our AS/400 last week, so today I wanted to take a look at providing search capabilities. I almost implemented Net.Question until I found out I had to maintain the index myself. I used the directions located at http://www.as400.ibm.com/tstudio/http/services/searchinfo.htm I was able to create my index over a directory containing 61 html documents, search my index, customize the Net.Data sample macro for my index and include this on my web site. All of this in a couple of hours. Creating the index actually only takes a few seconds. It was one of the few things that actually was as easy as advertised. The results are looking real good as well. I'll be testing this further in the next few days, but I'd say the Webserver Search Engine in V4R4 is a definite winner.
