To lock it from all, have a startup job grab ahold of it. Such as a NEP that does a RCVMSG. We have two users that want all of their messages sent via SNDDST into Notes, this uses RCVMSG. You could write one that would monitor the message queue and reroute the message to all workstation message queues they are signed on to. Or change their signon program to do a CHGMSGQ *USRPRF DLVRY(*HOLD). Now the message queue will not be locked by any of the sessions. Of course they won't get beeped either. dgallagher@deloitte.ca on 10/24/99 11:05:09 PM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet To: Midrange-L@midrange.com@Internet cc: Fax to: Subject: Message Queue Allocated I don't have access to an AS/400 right now to try this, so does anyone remember? When I sign on at a second device, I get a message "Message queue is allocated to another job". Now the question is, if I go back and sign off at the first device, do I now get the messages breaking at the second one?
