For years, when doing a backup, I have done a DMPTAP of the header and trailer labels to insure the created tape is readable. For some reason, 90+% of the time when I do that with the new (to me) 3570-B02 tape subsystem I got, it fails. I have checked for APARS and such and not found any. I have switched to doing a DSPTAP instead, which is working. Anybody know anything on this? Thanks. -Jeff +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
