Hi Folks, All these years we have been working on RPG with little bit of SQL, CL etc. etc. In my part of the world (India) this combination is becoming unpopular. There is little work. And so the company has started talking of e-commerce. We have been asked to submit ideas by the end of the month on e-commerce from an application point of view. The focus is on how to go about it with the AS400. We have a set of people who have all worked on RPG III, CL etc. and with no background on this line. People have been talking a lot on e-commerce at a very superficial level. There are questions that remain unanswered. Can any body give me some ideas on the following - 1.What is the major difference between the approach to traditional projects and these web based projects? 2. What is the kind of orientation required for a set of people who have only worked on RPG III, CL etc. The kind of training, R&D etc. required.
