1. I was visiting with someone today that is heavily into
the M$ world. He asked me if the AS/400 supported
the HTTPS server which would make secure
encrypted connections between the AS/400 and a
browser. These connections are handled by the
HTTP server and browser without any effort on the
server and regardless of the version/type of browser.
I did some searching, but all of the sites I went into
appeared to contain references to HTTP but not
HTTPS. I am assuming this is different from SSL
    and VPN.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me or give me
    some sources to investigate?

2. I remember reading an article about the new search
engine that is part of the HTTP server in V4R4. We
are installing V4R4 later this week. I found the IBM
site about the search engine, but I cannot locate the
original article. Also, does anyone have any experience
with the new search engine? I would appreciate any
    insights (or warnings).

Thanks,
Joe Teff
