How about

    Set(datefield:*D:01)
    Set(datefield:*M:12)
    Set(datefield:*Y:2001)

or even

    Eval datefield:*D = 01
    Eval datefield:*M = 12
    Eval datefield:*Y = 2001

Just some quick thoughts on a Saturday after mowing the lawn...
