I've got a customer with and HP box using a product called TRANSPOOLER to send files down to the AS/400 via LPR/LPD. The HP box does not have LPR built into the OS that's what the transpooler product does. On the AS/400 the spool files appear in an outqueue with the following attributes : FILENAME USERDATA LPD4983 GULPB3 LPD4986F GULPB3 LPDC707 GULPB3 . . . The userdata contains the name of the file coming from the HP box. The filename is what we are interested in seeing and archiving. Is there any way to retain the userdata without the AS/400 LPR/LPD changing the filename to a generic name? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
