I'm working with a customer using the E3 software. I've been told this
package is not supported at level 40 and, in addition, it requires that it's
objects (files, programs, etc.) have public access *ALL.

Regardless of whether the vendor will support this product under more
acceptable security standards, I was wondering if anyone out is actually
running E3 at level 40 and with public EXCLUDE? If so, were there any
issues in getting the software to work properly.
