Chris, When you say "any other command", are you using a home grown command to do this? I'm not sure how your program is structured, but if you've created a command for the prompt, the easiest method may be to use a validity checking program. This can send errors to your command prompt, just like "any other command". If this sounds like what you're looking for, I can find a code sample for you.
